The Russians utilized the Federov Avtomat (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fedorov_Avtomat) in WWI. The widespread use of assault rifles was actually used by the Germans in WWII. Deathbunny (talk) 02:44, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
