What happened to his home, did Hamas take control over it? not just fertility change
I have heard (though I haven't found a good source that puts it clearly in writing yet) that part of the population growth is people moving there (or being sent there) from the West Bank. This warrants some investigating. I plan to do that eventually, but there are a lot of things on my "things to investigate" list, so I'm mentioning it here in case somebody else gets time before I do.
