Might we not add Boßeln (bosseln) here as well? There is no English Wikipedia entry for Boßeln (just German: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bo%C3%9Feln), and this explanation here is so basic that it well applies to Boßeln too. Personally I even think that Boßen is better known or mode done then Klootschieten, but I’m not from the region and wouldn’t know.
