Simple change

a, b, c change
The History section has a sentence "According to Napier..." that then starts talking about a's, b's and c's and such that weren't defined before. The casual reader would say "What? What a's are they referring to? I didn't see any a's before this!" David.cormier (talk) 19:06, 23 November 2013 (UTC)
Precision change
In simplifying this, in the section on Common Logs I deleted this line about precision:
Seeing that 10^1.41 = 25.704 and even 10^1.408 = 25.585, you might notice that it's important to keep at least four digits in the mantissa (the part of the number that follows the decimal on a logarithm) if precision is important.
It didn't really contribute anything to common logs, but is it worth adding a section about precision? Leathp (talk) 20:46, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
Natural Log change
"The number e is nearly 2.71828" So what is an 'e' and why should I care? Why was that weird number chosen? What relationship does 2.71828 have to the real world? David.cormier (talk) 19:09, 23 November 2013 (UTC)
