Talk:Mandelbrot set

Help me, Godtopus, I still can't quite get this concept, and I really wanted to. Maybe there's something missing (in the explanation, not necessarily in my head). Can you make it even simpler?

My best attempt so far has been to compare the set (what set? Is it a set of numbers, like {1,2,3,4,5}?) with a repeating decimal, which goes on getting "bigger" forever without actually changing the outcome. I mean, 2,145145145145145... being the same as 2,145. - 187.20.79.73 (talk) 08:27, 12 April 2012 (UTC)
