The lede is maybe not clear enough. The word passage should maybe be dumbed down. (Not everyone knows words from the age before coal and oil became the main fuel for the propulsion of cargo ships.)

That passage is only one section of trade route.

As the article stands, it might be interpreted as, taking slaves from Africa to the Americas, had the nickname, the middle passage, [and being a slave in the America's was the last passage]. Sju hav (talk) 13:01, 8 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
