Why does Simple English Wikipedia has "Trigonometric functions" and "Trigonometric function"? Don't the two words mean the same thing? This is located in the Category Tree under Science.Coffsneeze 22:28, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

"Trigonometric function" contents may be copied to the "Trigonometric functions" contents. That way, it is less confusing to the reader. Coffsneeze 22:01, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

I disagree. Trigonometric function also have six functions. Because of this, this page's information can be copied to the other page. Then, this page will be blank. A blank page can be deleted. :) Coffsneeze 20:11, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

defining individual functions here?

Maybe I am blind or something, but I did not notice a 'simple' definition of the functions, such as:

The cosine function is used to determine the X position of a point, and the sine is used to determine the Y position of a point.

People who need simple content are not looking at the content of this page, they're looking at the picture of a circle with colorful lines. That image, although helpful, is a bit vague.

Also, no scientific notation allowed in the simple wiki!! Are you trying to give someone a headache? For scientific notation, see the actual wikipedia page. — This unsigned comment was added by 24.19.153.13 (talk • changes).

Identities

I have changed the identities slightly. Can anyone verify that the following is correct?:

$\tan \left(x\pm y\right)={\frac {\tan x\pm \tan y}{1\mp \tan x\tan y}}$

Or is it:

$\tan \left(x\pm y\right)={\frac {\tan x+\tan y}{1\mp \tan x\tan y}}$

(without the $\pm$ on the top of the right-hand side)?
