Why were we setting up this new goverment and what did it stand for? Were we doing this for a good reason?

this page needs major re-writing change
Dear experts in American history, It is a real disgrace to have one of the finest pages in American History written in a second-grade English. Can someone do better?
- Er, you do understand that this is the Simple English Wikipedia, where we are supposed to write in second-grade English? We are writing for children and those for who English is a second language. Cassandra 22:12, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
our country's leaders change
"The American Constitution and the Bill of Rights are there as well, hopefully leading our country's leaders in their times of judgement." I would say, this not the way an encyclopedic artical should be written. Not all readers are US-citizens ...
- "Hopefully leading our country's leaders" is inappropriate for an encyclopedia in and of itself. I've removed the section. :) – Katerenka (talk • contribs) 20:59, 11 October 2009 (UTC)
Protection change
Owing to the prevelant IP vandalism on this page in the last month, I think this needs protection. Probably a month silver-lock Purplebackpack89 00:56, 13 October 2010 (UTC)
- It's been vandalized no more than about once a week over the past month or so, so I don't think it needs protection yet, but it's definitely worth keeping an eye on. Kansan (talk) 00:59, 13 October 2010 (UTC)
