Usage

Starting visibility: currently automatically selects itself to autocollapse

To set this template's starting visibility, the |state= parameter may be used:

• |state=collapsed: {{Beethoven piano sonatas|state=collapsed}} to show the template collapsed, i.e., hidden apart from its title bar
• |state=expanded: {{Beethoven piano sonatas|state=expanded}} to show the template expanded, i.e., fully visible
• |state=autocollapse: {{Beethoven piano sonatas|state=autocollapse}}
  • shows the template collapsed to the title bar if there is a {{navbar}}, a {{sidebar}}, or some other table on the page with the collapsible attribute

Sub-templates

Date-of-birth ("bday") information will only be included in the microformat if {{birth date}}, or {{birth date and age}} are used in the infobox. (Do not use these if the date is before 1583). Be cautious about using these if the person is still living, per WP:DOB.
