Purpose
changeThis template facilitates the citation of articles from editions of The American Cyclopædia. Links to Wikisource or external sources are provided for. {{cite encyclopedia}} is used for the implementation.
Usage

or with a specification of additional options:
|noicon =1 — no leading icon |vb =1 — prescript to attribute copied text (see WP:PLAGIARISM) |inline =1 — alters the prescript to make it suitable for inline citations |wstitle=name of the AmCyc article on Wikisource |display=alternative name to display in place of the AmCyc article name on Wikisource |title=name of the AmCyc article if not on Wikisource |url=only set if title= is set |year= —defaults to 1879.
