This template assists citing the English Pronouncing Dictionary. The first parameter is the number of the edition (required). The second is the headword (optional). It works with Harvard citation templates.

The first parameter must be the number of the edition (1–18) – except in case of the 1988 or 1991 republication of the 14th edition, for which it must be 14r or 14c, respectively.

Other options:

  • |page= or |pages=
  • |url= – URL to the page showing the entry, valid only if the headword (second parameter) is specified
  • |mode=cs2 – makes it compatible with {{Citation}}
  • |year= – set it to e.g. 2011a if the article cites another work by an author with the same surname and from the same year
