Usage change

Cite template to deal with citing individual records found in the United States census. U.S. Census data is publicly available for years 1790 to 1940. For years 1850 to 1940, these records often contain names, addresses, ages, national origins, and occupations.

Parameters (no required parameters) change

Horizontal format:

Description of parameters change

title: title of the census record
url: URL of the source record

year: year the census was taken
location: the census place (town or city, township or county, state)
roll: microfilm roll number
page: census page number
line: entry line number
enumdist : census enumeration district
filmnum: LDS Family History Center film or microfiche image number
nafilm: National Archives film number
accessdate: when you looked it up
