This is a documentation subpage for Template:Different template.
It may contain usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page.

Usage

Put this at the top of templates that have been developed differently to their English Wikipedia counterparts by local editors. This is to discourage people from simply "synchronising" the template with enwiki.

It is a good idea to explain to editors how and why the template is different in its documentation, so that they can work around the issue.
