Usage
Template:ISO 639 name ang is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code ang, for example: {{Translated page |ang |name of page at Old English Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Old English Wikipedia and could be used to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Old English Wikipedia (may be created using {{Translated sub-cat |ang}}).
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|ang| some text in Old English}} wraps the text with <span lang="ang"> and could be used by the template {{Lang}} with language code ang to include articles in Category:Articles containing Old English-language text (may be created using {{Category articles containing non-English-language text |Old English |ang}}). Also available is {{Lang-ang |some text in Old English}} which displays as Old English: some text in Old English.
- {{R from other language|ang|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Old English-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|ang}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Old English-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
