Usage
Template:ISO 639 name chr is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code chr, for example: {{Translated page |chr |name of page at Cherokee Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Cherokee Wikipedia and could be used to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Cherokee Wikipedia (may be created using {{Translated sub-cat |chr}}).
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|chr| some text in Cherokee}} wraps the text with <span lang="chr"> and includes articles in Category:Articles containing Cherokee-language text. Also available is {{Lang-chr |some text in Cherokee}} which displays as Cherokee: some text in Cherokee.
- {{R from other language|chr|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Cherokee-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|chr}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Cherokee-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
