Usage
Template:ISO 639 name fa is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code fa, for example: {{Translated page |fa |name of page at Persian Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Persian Wikipedia and to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Persian Wikipedia.
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|fa| some text in Persian}} wraps the text with <span lang="fa"> and includes articles in Category:Articles containing Persian-language text. Also available is {{Lang-fa |some text in Persian}} which displays as Persian: some text in Persian.
- {{R from other language|fa|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Persian-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|fa}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Persian-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
