Usage
Template:ISO 639 name fi is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code fi, for example: {{Translated page |fi |name of page at Finnish Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Finnish Wikipedia and to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Finnish Wikipedia.
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|fi| some text in Finnish}} wraps the text with <span lang="fi"> and includes articles in Category:Articles containing Finnish-language text. Also available is {{Lang-fi |some text in Finnish}} which displays as Finnish: some text in Finnish.
- {{R from other language|fi|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Finnish-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|fi}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Finnish-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
