Usage
Template:ISO 639 name gsw is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code gsw, for example: {{Translated page |gsw |name of page at Alemannic Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Alemannic Wikipedia and could be used to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Alemannic Wikipedia (may be created using {{Translated sub-cat |gsw}}).
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|gsw| some text in Alemannic}} wraps the text with <span lang="gsw"> and could be used by the template {{Lang}} with language code gsw to include articles in Category:Articles containing Alemannic-language text (may be created using {{Category articles containing non-English-language text |Alemannic |gsw}}). Also available is {{Lang-gsw |some text in Alemannic}} which displays as Alemannic German: some text in Alemannic.
- {{R from other language|gsw|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Alemannic-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|gsw}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Alemannic-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
