Usage
Template:ISO 639 name la is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code la, for example: {{Translated page |la |name of page at Latin Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Latin Wikipedia and could be used to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Latin Wikipedia (may be created using {{Translated sub-cat |la}}).
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|la| some text in Latin}} wraps the text with <span lang="la"> and includes articles in Category:Articles containing Latin-language text. Also available is {{Lang-la |some text in Latin}} which displays as Latin: some text in Latin.
- {{R from other language|la|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Latin-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|la}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Latin-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
