Usage
Template:ISO 639 name nb is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code nb, for example: {{Translated page |nb |name of page at Norwegian Bokmål Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Norwegian Bokmål Wikipedia and could be used to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Norwegian Bokmål Wikipedia (may be created using {{Translated sub-cat |nb}}).
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|nb| some text in Norwegian Bokmål}} wraps the text with <span lang="nb"> and could be used by the template {{Lang}} with language code nb to include articles in Category:Articles containing Norwegian Bokmål-language text (may be created using {{Category articles containing non-English-language text |Norwegian Bokmål |nb}}). Also available is {{Lang-nb |some text in Norwegian Bokmål}} which displays as Bokmål: some text in Norwegian Bokmål.
- {{R from other language|nb|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Norwegian Bokmål-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|nb}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Norwegian Bokmål-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
