Usage
Template:ISO 639 name pms is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code pms, for example: {{Translated page |pms |name of page at Piemontese Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Piemontese Wikipedia and could be used to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Piemontese Wikipedia (may be created using {{Translated sub-cat |pms}}).
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|pms| some text in Piemontese}} wraps the text with <span lang="pms"> and could be used by the template {{Lang}} with language code pms to include articles in Category:Articles containing Piemontese-language text (may be created using {{Category articles containing non-English-language text |Piemontese |pms}}). Also available is {{Lang-pms |some text in Piemontese}} which displays as Piedmontese: some text in Piemontese.
- {{R from other language|pms|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Piemontese-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|pms}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Piemontese-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
