Usage
Template:ISO 639 name pnb is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code pnb, for example: {{Translated page |pnb |name of page at Western Panjabi Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Western Panjabi Wikipedia and could be used to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Western Panjabi Wikipedia (may be created using {{Translated sub-cat |pnb}}).
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|pnb| some text in Western Panjabi}} wraps the text with <span lang="pnb"> and could be used by the template {{Lang}} with language code pnb to include articles in Category:Articles containing Western Panjabi-language text (may be created using {{Category articles containing non-English-language text |Western Panjabi |pnb}}). Also available is {{Lang-pnb |some text in Western Panjabi}} which displays as Punjabi: some text in Western Panjabi.
- {{R from other language|pnb|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Western Panjabi-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|pnb}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Western Panjabi-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
