Usage
Template:ISO 639 name so is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code so, for example: {{Translated page |so |name of page at Somali Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Somali Wikipedia and could be used to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Somali Wikipedia (may be created using {{Translated sub-cat |so}}).
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|so| some text in Somali}} wraps the text with <span lang="so"> and includes articles in Category:Articles containing Somali-language text. Also available is {{Lang-so |some text in Somali}} which displays as Somali: some text in Somali.
- {{R from other language|so|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Somali-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|so}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Somali-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
