Usage
Template:ISO 639 name yue is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code yue, for example: {{Translated page |yue |name of page at Cantonese Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Cantonese Wikipedia and could be used to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Cantonese Wikipedia (may be created using {{Translated sub-cat |yue}}).
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|yue| some text in Cantonese}} wraps the text with <span lang="yue"> and could be used by the template {{Lang}} with language code yue to include articles in Category:Articles containing Cantonese-language text (may be created using {{Category articles containing non-English-language text |Cantonese |yue}}). Also available is {{Lang-yue |some text in Cantonese}} which displays as Yue Chinese: some text in Cantonese.
- {{R from other language|yue|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Cantonese-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|yue}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Cantonese-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
