Purpose

The boxer infobox provides a quick overview of the most sought after information of a boxer in an easy to view sideframe to the article proper. The infobox is intended for all current, retired and dead boxers.

Parameters

Mandatory

• {{{name}}} — Common name
• {{{realname}}} — Full name
• {{{weight}}} — Weight class currently fought at, or for retired and dead boxers, most famous at
• {{{nationality}}} — Nationality
• {{{birth_date}}} — Date of birth, use of {{birth date}} and {{birth date and age}} is encouraged
• {{{birth_place}}} — City of birth, with country if different from {{{nationality}}}
• {{{style}}} — Stance
• {{{total}}} — Total number of fights
• {{{wins}}} — Total number of wins
• {{{losses}}} — Total number of losses
• {{{draws}}} — Total number of draws
• {{{no contests}}} — Total number of no contests
• {{{KO}}} — Totoal number of Knock Outs

Optional

• {{{image}}} — Image if available
• {{{nickname}}} — Most common nickname
• {{{height}}} — Use of {{height}} encouraged
• {{{death_date}}} — Date of death, wikilinked for date preference
• {{{death_place}}} — Place of death

Microformat

The HTML markup produced by this template includes an hCard microformat, which makes the person's details parsable by computers, either acting automatically to catalogue articles across Wikipedia or via a browser tool operated by a reader, to (for example) add the subject to an address book or database. Sub-templates

Date-of-birth ("bday") information will only be included in the microformat if {{birth date}}, or {{birth date and age}} are used in the infobox. (Do not use these if the date is before 1583). Be cautious about using these if the person is still living, per WP:DOB.

To include a URL, use {{URL}}.

Please do not remove instances of these sub-templates.
