Parameter Type Description
{{{Basin}}} Mandatory An abbreviation that denotes the basin of the storm. Atl, Aus, EPac, NIO, SAtl, SHem, SPac, SWI, and WPac are currently defined. Please ensure proper capitalization.
{{{Formed}}} Optional The storm's formation date. Defaults to "unknown".
{{{Dissipated}}} Optional The storm's dissipation date. Defaults to "unknown".
{{{Image}}} Optional The name of an image of the storm, if present.
{{{Alt}}} Needed if {{{Image}}}} is specified Alt text for the image; see Wikipedia:Alternative text for images.
{{{Track}}} Optional The name of a track map of the storm, if present.
{{{Track alt}}} Needed if {{{Track}}}} is specified Alt text for the track.
{{{Pressure}}} Optional The minimum pressure of the strongest storm in mbar/hPa. Must be a number.
{{{Prepressure}}} Optional Use this to add a modifier before the value of Pressure.
{{{Pressurepost}}} Optional Use this to add an important note on the value of Pressure, i.e., whether or not it is officially listed in the Atlantic hurricane database (HURDAT) or on the Atlantic Hurricane Research Division Web page.
{{{1-min winds}}} Optional The maximum sustained wind speed over a 1-minute averaging time, given in knots. Must be a number.
{{{3-min winds}}} Optional The maximum sustained wind speed over a 3-minute averaging time, given in knots. Must be a number.
{{{10-min winds}}} Optional The maximum sustained wind speed over a 10-minute averaging time, given in knots. Must be a number.
{{{Gusts}}} Optional The maximum wind gusts, given in knots. Must be a number.
{{{Prewinds}}} Optional Use this to add a modifier before the wind values.
{{{Type}}} Optional This will change the infobox to display any category you wish. Use this only if you do not have the maximum sustained winds. Use the values in the left column of the chart below. Also, Type1 and Type2 will change the upper and lower boxes.
{{{WarningCenter}}} Optional This will change the linked warning center in the top box. It does not change the default value in the lower box.
