This template is used to show that an article is using sources that are biased because most (or every) sources named have a very close connection to the subject, such as the manufacturer of a product. This template can be used for any source that is closely connected to the subject, even if the source is not self-published.

How to use change

Place this template on the page by pasting {{third-party|date=March 2024}} at the top.

If it's just one or a few of the sources, use {{third-party-inline}} instead. If no reference is given, use the {{citation needed}} tag instead. Material which is doubtful and harmful may be removed quickly, rather than tagged. If you have the time and ability to find an a better reference, please do so. Then correct the citation yourself, or correct the article text. The final goal is not to just show that there is a problem, but to fix it.

Unsourced or poorly sourced material about living persons that be harmful or is obviously not true should be quickly removed (do not tag it—remove it).

Adding this template to an article places the article into Category:Articles lacking reliable references.
