Usage

As supported by Wikipedia:Wikimedia sister projects, this template may be used to add a Wikinews link to a Wikipedia article. Note that this template generates an InterWikimedia link and is not intended to represent sources for Wikipedia articles.

Links to pages on the Wikinews site:

• Box format
  • {{Wikinews|SomeArticleTitle}}: Creates box with link to article SomeArticleTitle.
  • {{Wikinews category|SomeCategoryTitle}}: Creates box with link to category SomeCategoryTitle.
• Line format
  • {{Wikinews-inline|SomeArticleTitle}}: Creates a line with link to article SomeArticleTitle.
• To link in-line with other text, create an interwiki link in the format: | SomeArticleTitle.

Location

If using a large, graphical template produces odd layout problems, like the excessive white space shown on the right of this screenshot, then switch to a different sister template.

This template is normally placed at the top of the WP:Other websites section. Please do not create an otherwise-empty ==Other websites== section for this template. Instead, consider using {{Wikinews-inline}}, or placing this template at the top of the last section on the page (usually a citation-related section). On disambiguation pages, this template should be listed above other text, but below any cleanup templates, images, infoboxes or navboxes.
