Tetsuya Watari

Japanese actor (1941–2020)

Tetsuya Watari (渡 哲也, Watari Tetsuya) (December 28, 1941 – August 10, 2020)[1][2] was a Japanese actor. His career lasted from 1964 until his death. He was born in Awaji, Hyōgo. His best known roles were in Tokyo Drifter, Outlaw: Gangster VIP and Katsu Kaishū. His brother, Tsunehiko Watase, who was also an actor.[3]

Watari died of pneumonia on August 10, 2020 in Tokyo, aged 78.[4]
