The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz is a 1974 Canadian comedy drama movie directed by Ted Kotcheff and was based on the 1959 novel of the same name by Mordecai Richler. It stars Richard Dreyfuss, Micheline Lanctôt, Jack Warden, Randy Quaid, Joseph Wiseman, Denholm Elliott and was nominated for an Academy Award in 1975. The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz was released by Paramount Pictures on April 11, 1974.
