The Village on the River (Dutch: Dorp aan de rivier) is a 1958 Dutch drama movie directed by Fons Rademakers and was based on the novel by Antoon Coolen. It stars Max Croiset, Mary Dresselhuys, Bernhard Droog, Jan Teulings, Herman Bouber, Huib Orizand and was nominated for an Academy Award in 1960.
