Theresa Villiers

British politician (born 1968)

Theresa Anne Villiers (born 5 March 1968) is an English politician. In July 2019, she became Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for the Boris Johnson ministry. She stopped doing this job in 2020. She was first elected in the 2005 general election. She is the Member of Parliament (MP) for Chipping Barnet and the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland as of 2012. Villiers was the Minister of State for Transport from 2010 to 2012.[1]

She was appointed as a Privy Counsellor on 9 June 2010. [2]

She is a member of the Conservative Party.
