A mass shooting took place on November 7, 2018, in Thousand Oaks, California, at the Borderline Bar and Grill, a country-western dance club. Many college students would go to the bar.[4][5][6] Thirteen people were killed, including a police officer and the shooter, while twenty-five were injured.

The attacker, identified as 28-year-old Ian David Long, was found dead inside the bar, having shot himself dead.[7]
