Tim Drake

Timothy Jackson Drake is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. He is a sidekick of superhero Batman. He was created by Marv Wolfman and Pat Broderick.

He first appeared in Batman #436 (August 1989) as the third character to assume the role of Batman's sidekick Robin.

Fictional character biography

As a small boy, Tim was taken to Haly's Circus, where he met Dick Grayson and the Flying Graysons, the same day as their deaths, which he witnessed and would never forget. Years later, Tim saw footage of Batman and Robin apprehending the Penguin and noticed Robin's unique acrobatics, which reminded him of Dick Grayson.

In other media

The character has been seen in The New Batman Adventures, Young Justice: Invasion, and the video game series Batman: Arkham. In 2011, Tim Drake was ranked 32nd in IGN's Top 100 Comic Book Heroes.
