Biography change

Iwata was born in Usa on April 7, 1997. He joined J2 League club Oita Trinita from their youth team in 2015. Oita was relegated to J3 League end of the 2015 season. He played many matches as right side back from 2016 and Oita won the champions in 2016. Oita was returned to J2 from 2017 and was promoted to J1 League from 2019. In 2021, he moved to Yokohama F. Marinos.

In May 2019, Iwata was selected the Japan national team for 2019 Copa América. At this tournament, he debuted as right side back against Uruguay on June 20.
