Trabzon expedetion (1510)
The Trebizond Expedition is the incident in which Shah Ismail sent a military unit to Trabzon in 1510.

changeIn 1505, Shah Ismail's brother set out with an army of 3,000 to plunder Trabzon under Selim's rule, but the Safavid army was defeated by Selim and pushed back to Erzincan. Selim massacred many and seized weapons and ammunition.[1] In 1507, Shah Ismail raided the Dulkadirids, in response Selim attacked Erzincan in 1507 and defeated the Safavid army.[1]
