Alabay or Central Asian Shepherd is a breed of big-sized dog.
It originated in Central Asia`s countries of Kazakhstan, Kirgistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan andTadzhikistan. It is a very old breed, from ancient times. This breed was originally developed for guarding sheep.
