Twinkle Khanna (born Tina Jatin Khanna; born on 29 December 1973)[1] is an Indian author, newspaper columnist, interior designer, producer and actress.[2][3][4] Her first book, MrsFunnybones came out in 2015.[5] She was India's highest-selling woman writer that year.[6][7] Her second book, The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad was made into a movie called Pad Man [8]

changeHer parents are actors Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia. In 2001, she married actor Akshay Kumar. They have two children Aarav and Nitara.[9] [10]
Life and career
changeIn 2015, Khanna released her first non-fiction book, Mrs Funnybones which was declared a bestseller,[11] making Khanna India's highest-selling woman writer that year.[12]
Khanna's second book The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad, a collection of short stories, one of which was based on social entrepreneur Arunachalam Muruganantham,[13] was later made into National Award winning feature film,[14] Pad Man with the focus on dispelling taboos around menstruation.[15] It was produced by Khanna's production house, Mrs. Funnybones Movies,[16][17] which she established in 2016.[18][19]
Her third book, Pyjamas Are Forgiving (Juggernaut Books, 2018)[20] made her the highest-selling female author in India on 2018, according to Nielsen BookScan India.[21]
In 2023 Khanna released fourth book , Welcome to Paradise and It became the top-selling fiction book of 2023. Also ranked no. 1 on Nielson BookScan and Crossword.[22]
