Type 74 105 mm self-propelled howitzer (74式自走105mm榴弾砲, nana-shi-shiki-jisou-105mm-ryuudan-hou) is an armored artillery vehicle used by the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF).[1]

History
changeKomatsu developed the chassis; and Japan Steel Works made the turret.[2]
The howitzer was accepted for service or "standardised" in 1974.[2]
Type 74s are used by the 2nd Artillery Regiment at Asahikawa, Hokkaido.[2]
