User:Angerxiety/Last chance

This page in a nutshell: Sometimes it is a good idea to give blocked users one more chance to make changes. But only one. |
Sometimes when handling a blocked user and they are begging to be unblocked, saying that they are really sorry for what they did and will not do it again, rather than arguing about the original block, it may be better to unblock them and give them one last chance to make changes. If they did want to make good changes, then unblocking will be a good thing to do. If they do not want to make good changes, they will be blocked again soon.
This is not the best choice and having the long discussions about a user's unblock may help the blocked user understand why they were blocked and what they did wrong. But this may be a good test of character for blocked users. Sometimes even after a long discussion, it might be hard to know if the blocked user understands what they did wrong and if they want to stop making bad changes, and the only way to know is giving them another chance.
