WikiProject Reliable Sources works to improve Wikipedia articles by removing and blocking unreliable sources. We maintain a JSON list of commonly identified bad sources and provide guidance on assessing source reliability.

Identify and remove unreliable sources. Update our list of unreliable sources. Educate contributors on source assessment and provide guidance on best practices. Improve overall sourcing quality across Simple English Wikipedia.

Getting Started

If you’re interested in helping, here are some ways to get involved: Review Articles: Check articles for citations from unreliable sources, and replace or remove them. Use the Guide: Follow our Guide on Blocking Unreliable Sources for guidelines on identifying and handling unreliable sources. Suggest New Sources: If you find new sources that are unreliable, add them to the discussion on our project talk page.
