D.N. Moore (born 29 July, 1982) is an American author of Young Adult fiction. Her works include the fantasy novel Ballad of the Dead: a Modern Fairy Tale, a book of short stories titled The Blandford Fly and Other Tales, and the teen dystopian novel The Boy Who Learned to Live.

Moore was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, but moved to the United States as a teenager, attending an American boarding school with a focus on classic literature as well as American history and government. Following her education, she worked as a teacher for ten years.

Moore has been the recipient of the Literary Titan Gold Book Award, Shelf Unbound Notable 100, and Silver Honorable Mention from the Writer's of the Future. She lives in Florida with her husband and three children. [1]
