User:EhJJ/EhJRCBot
EhJRCBot is based on the Java program written by User:EhJJ called RCBot. This program can be downloaded from sourceforge and run by other users. When EhJRCBot is offline, other bots may be running, like GoblinBot2. Full instructions for both of these bots is available at meta:User:EhJJ/RCBot. Replace the word RCBot with EhJRCBot or GoblinBot2 when sending commands.
Facilitator bot change
Since SWBot3 is running on #cvn-simplewikis, the facilitator bot has been disabled.
Feature requests change
Please make feature requests on the talk page. So far, these ideas have been made:
Bot list/Ignore list/Flood list change
EhJRCBot already ignores bot edits (edits done with a bot (B) flag). Also, edits done by administrators using the flood flag are automatically ignored (they appear to EhJRCBot as bot (B) edits). Unfortunately, certain actions when done by bots (or admins with the flood flag) do not appear as bot edits in the IRC feed. I will eventually add a bot/ignore list to prevent floods.
Watched articles change
Have certain edits shown even if made by whitelist users. Allows for monitoring of special pages, for example: Administrators' noticeboard, etc.
Done
Action links change
Certain "actions" (such as new user creation, user block, etc.) are not associated with a diff. RCBot offers an appropriate link (such as to block a user in the case of a bad user name) so that it is faster for admin RC patrollers to intervene.
