Ziegal Ltd is a British start-up company focusing on the communications retail sector online in the UK. It was established in August 2017 by entrepreneur Mohammed Amir and since then has grown to sell mobile phones online as well as launch a crowdfunding initiative for a new national WiFi network. Ziegal is currently a limited company but has stated its intention to offer shares to the public in Bitcoin from Winter 2017.[1]

Mobile phone retail change
Ziegal’s website is an online mobile phone retailer, offering handsets to purchase on contract agreements and handset only packages, as well as SIM-only contract agreements. Ziegal’s handset range available is exclusive to the British market, comprising of manufacturers Elephone, Oukitel and Vernee. Ziegal was the first company in the UK to import these models. Like the share offering Ziegal has made available, the retail website does accept Bitcoin and prices are available in both Bitcoin and GBP.
Z-WiFi change
In October 2017, Ziegal announced its intention to launch ‘Z-WiFi’, a publicly available WiFi network that would be available across the UK. Using a technology known as ‘Z-Pods’ installed nationwide, the network signal from home WiFi facilities will be transmitted further, allowing Z-WiFi customers coverage as they travel.[2] Ziegal are crowdfunding for this product launch, offering out 1.6 million shares in the company. The shares available for any interested party, but can only be purchased in crypto-currency Bitcoin. The initial share offering valued each at 0.000849051BTC which converted to approximately $5 USD. Dividends are paid to shareholders in Bitcoin and accounts are public. There is no definitive date for the Z-Pods to be created but it is reliant on funding being raised.

Advertising and Sponsorship change
As the company initially launches, Ziegal has already built up good relationships with the online tech press sector following their announced plans for Z-WiFi and crowdfunding. Part of the funds raised will be allocated to a dedicated marketing plan for the product and this will see Ziegal’s presence span print, radio and online advertising.[3]
