Kan 11 is an Israeli public TV channel which is managed by Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation. Kan 11 launched on May 15 2017, after Channel 1, the first Israeli public and general TV channel.
Kan 11 is broadcast in HD format. During 2018 FIFA World Cup Kan 11 broadcasted in Ultra high definition.
History change
IBA Shut Down and IPBC Launch change
In July 2013 hired Israeli Minister of Comunications, Gilad Erdan a company to decide about shtting down the Israeli Broadcasing Authority, and after that hired "Landes Comittee", who advertised its conclusions in March 2014. Then, the Israeli parliment, the Knesset, legislated the Public Broadcasting Law; according to it, the IBA was shutted down on May 14, 2017.
Since May 15, 2017 change
The channel startes its broadcasts on May 15, 2017. Between June 4 and August 3, the Israeli Educational Television broadcasted in the channel also.
In May 12, 2018 the channel broadcasted Eurovision 2018, when Netta Barzilai from Israel won. that was the most succesful show on Kan 11 until May 12.
