More edits

change

I finally have more edits that you now :) Razorflame (contributions) Talk 02:29, 25 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Congrats, but I still have a bit more counting deleted edits (6545 me and 6406 you)  Lights  talk  02:29, 25 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
Are we counting deleted edits? Oh well...By the way, I added Hermione (disambiguation), because Hermione can mean many different things. Razorflame (contributions) Talk 04:36, 25 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
Doesn't really matter if we count deleted edits or not, after all you have more one way I have more the other way ;-))) Anyways, thanks for creating the dismabig. Cheers,  Lights  talk  12:35, 25 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
Yes, but now you have more than me in both regular and deleted edits :() Razorflame (contributions) Talk 19:04, 27 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
You might pass me again sometime... Cheers,  Lights  talk  19:09, 27 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
That might be the case in the future. Razorflame (contributions) Talk 19:17, 27 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Both of you have beaten me in edit counts. I only have like 4600 edits (not including deleted edits) and I have been here for a heck of a long time. Anyhow congrats on your promotion Lights:))) --§ Snake311 (T + C) 21:07, 26 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thank you ;-)))  Lights  talk  21:07, 26 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Asshole

change

I've created this page as a redirect to the page Anus. I think that that is the right thing to do. I also think that it will be a huge vandalism target, so I would like to request full protection of the page. Razorflame (contributions) Talk 21:09, 27 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

  Done  Lights  talk  21:14, 27 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
Do you think I made the right decision to link the page to Anus? Razorflame (contributions) Talk 21:20, 27 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
Yes, it's a slang.  Lights  talk  21:21, 27 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
I figured it would've been a good choice to link it to that page. Razorflame (contributions) Talk 21:27, 27 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Welcoming JS

change

Heya, I just tried adding a new JS to my monobook.js, but it doesn't seem to be working. Maybe you could get it to work for me? Razorflame (contributions) Talk 00:30, 29 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

When you're editing a User talk: page, you should see a  welcome  tab beside the watch/unwatch tab. If you still don't see it, try bypassing your cache if you haven't already.  Lights  talk  00:40, 29 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
I've already bypassed my cache. I was just wondering where it was. Actually, I see it now. Razorflame (contributions) Talk 01:41, 29 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
Ok, it works. Now I have a question. How can I change it to make it add {{welcomeg}} {{subst:welcomeg}} instead of your welcome message? Razorflame (contributions) Talk 01:44, 29 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
Try it now. I just edited your monobook.js to change it to welcomeg, although you might have to bypass your cache again. Cheers, (-:  Lights  talk  01:48, 29 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
Ok, I'll make a test using my sockpuppet Darkice as the testing bed. I also changed it to say Welcoming user, using User:Razorflame/monobook.js instead of User:Lights/monobook.js.  :) Cheers as well! Razorflame (contributions) Talk 01:50, 29 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
Yep, works to perfection. Thanks again, dude! Razorflame (contributions) Talk 01:53, 29 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

change

Just letting you know that this user has been going around inserting direct copypastes from the English Wikipedia. Razorflame (contributions) Talk 02:37, 29 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

I just finished simplifying Harry Potter (character) a bit, but it's still fairly complex. It was a hard article to simplify. :(  Lights  talk  03:34, 29 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
There is still much to simplify. I hope other people will come and help simplify it. I've got other articles I need to create, but if I have time, I will also attempt to simplify it. Razorflame (contributions) Talk 03:36, 29 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
I took the time to simplify the first 6-8 sections of the article. It's just too dang long and actually is quite a complex article to begin with. Razorflame (contributions) Talk 04:03, 29 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
That's exactly why it was hard for me to simplify it.  Lights  talk  13:39, 29 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Clock Template

change

Hey Lights, your clock template doesn't automatically update. Is there any reason for this? Razorflame (contributions) Talk 02:52, 29 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Try purging the cache.  Lights  talk  02:53, 29 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

User:Jackjack

change

I have reason to believe that this user is the same as the blocked IP address based upon how he signs his welcomes. Razorflame (contributions) Talk 04:06, 29 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Already blocked. Cheers,  Lights  talk  13:38, 29 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
I posted this before that whole fiasco erupted with this user. I know that Creol already blocked him, it's just that, if you look at the logs, you'll see the huge amount of vandalism that he was able to cause before he was blocked. I had to get a steward from Meta involved. Razorflame (contributions) Talk 20:51, 29 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
Wow, I never heard of a vandalism case where a steward from Meta had to sysop themself here to solve a case of vandalism. Another mass case of vandalism about a month ago was where 91.108.233.6 (talk · contribs), 91.108.244.201 (talk · contribs), 91.108.210.59 (talk · contribs), 91.108.255.205 (talk · contribs), 91.108.241.168 (talk · contribs), 91.108.240.11 (talk · contribs) and 91.108.207.171 (talk · contribs) vandalized many pages. All those IPs belonged to one vandal who changed his/her IP whenever one was blocked. The vandal was stopped when the IP range was blocked. Lights (talk) 21:13, 29 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
The only reason why I requested a steward from Meta to come over here and help was because I thought that there weren't any admins on at the time of the vandalism. He actually inserted pictures of an erect penis into my user talk...anyways, it wasn't really that big of a vandalism case. He mainly just created about 30-35 pages of the same thing (including pictures of a huge erect penis) and Creol was able to fix the situation (I didn't know Creol was on at the time). Asteroids and other things

change

Heya Lights. Are there really thousands of asteroids out there?

I'm also wanting to ask if you would like to join the counter vandalism IRC channel? It has many good features including a bot that checks if there are any pages that have QD tags on them and the such. Are you any good with IRC? If you need help, ask me or Barliner or Creol for help.

Here's another piece of information: I have a new siggy! Thanks go out to Barliner for it. It's much cleaner than my old one.

Lastly, have a happy new year! Razorflame 02:18, 30 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Yes, there are thousands of asteroids, but I don't use IRC. Nice sig and happy new year to you too. ;-))) Cheers, Lights (talk) 02:21, 30 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
Did you want me to semi-protect your new sig again to lower the chance of a vandal messing around with it? Lights (talk) 02:25, 30 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
Yes, if you would be so kind (semi-protect for now) Razorflame 02:26, 30 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
  Done Lights (talk) 02:27, 30 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
I fixed the silver part of my sig and made it limegreen. Now, it goes better with the red :) Thanks, too, for the protection. Razorflame 02:28, 30 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
No problem (-: Lights (talk) 02:29, 30 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Forgetting

change

Don't forget to stagger the deletions of your userspace pages :) Razorflame 04:46, 30 December 2007 (UTC) God knows that if I were you, I'd be forgetting, too. Razorflame 04:47, 30 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Whoops, thanks for reminding me, I'll delete a few after I'm finished the asteroid article I'm working on right now. Cheers, Lights (talk) 04:49, 30 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
Yep, just a friendly little reminder :) Razorflame 18:38, 30 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Warning JS

change

Hey there Lights...I have a very useful warning JS in my monobook.js. It automatically makes messages like Experimenting in Insert article name here and stuff like that. If you want it, feel free to copypaste from my monobook.js to yours. Also, can I get my monobook.js semi-protected please? Don't want any IP's editing it. Razorflame 19:16, 30 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

That script doesn't work for me, it messes up everything, I tested it with the Show preview for my monobook.js. There's no need to semi-protect your monobook.js since only you and admins can edit it, so semi-protecting won't do anything. Cheers, Lights (talk) 19:25, 30 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
I didn't know that only you or admins can edit it, or I simply just forgot about that. Razorflame 19:27, 30 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
