We should make a page on LGBT rights in Israel and update/expand LGBT rights in the State of Palestine. Israel often promote attacks on Palestinians by accusing Palestinians of being homophobic, but I have looked into it recently and Israel and Palestine are surprisingly close on that issue. Or at the very least it's usually more complicated. e.g.

• Killings of LGBT people are mostly isolated hate crimes, and occur in both at comparable frequency.

• The strongest advocates of the attacks on Gaza are intensely homophobic far right extremists like en: Bezalel Smotrich.[1][2]

• Smotrich et al. even did a "Beast Parade" to mock pride celebrations.

• The only LGBT Palestinian executed was blackmailed by Sinn Bett, executed as a "traitor", and a stretch of the definition of "executed" because it was Lion's Den killing a member, not a government.

• Mahmoud Eshweti (tortured and executed by Al Qassam) probably wasn't gay, his story is very different to the western tabloids jumping to conclusions. Al Qassam definitely don't look good in the story, but it doesn't seem to be "executed for being gay" at all.

• The only anti gay laws on the books in Palestine seem to date from the British Mandate era, and are very vaguely worded.
