changeThe vela supernova remnant is the remains of a type II supernova that happened about 11,000 years ago.It is home to the vela pulsar (PSR B0833 -45) and the pencil nebula (NGC 2736).It was discovered in 1960 from the University of Sydney which later in 1968, found the Vela pulsar.Its apperance is a colourfull web-like structure.
