Villahermosa (/ˌv(j)əɛərˈmsə/ VEE-(y)ə-air-MOH-sə, Spanish: [ˌbiʝaeɾˈmosa] (audio speaker iconlisten); "Beautiful Village") is the capital and largest city of the Mexican state of Tabasco. 353,577 people lived here in the 2010 census.[1] The city is about 863 kilometres (536 mi) southeast from Mexico City.
