The Volkswagen Golf Mk5 is the fifth generation of the compact car Volkswagen Golf. It succeeded the Mk4 in 2003 and was succeeded by the Mk6 in 2008. The Golf Variant and the Golf Plus continued until 2009. The platform of the Mk5 Golf was also used for the Touran and the Eos.
